A matching name is only the first clue. The SBI warns that fingerprint comparison is the sole means of positive identification. Compare the full profile and use the sheriff for a suspected error.
Hertford Registry Counts and Accuracy
The county statistics page showed about 66 Hertford entries when inspected on August 1, 2026. The SBI labels registry statistics as approximate. Pending-status records are left out, and processing can delay a change. Parts of a profile are self-reported. Part 2 verification forms are mailed twice yearly and must be returned in person within three business days. Part 3 verification occurs every 90 days. A Hertford County registrant reports through the sheriff in the county of residence, not through the court portal.
